Adult Faith Formation
"Do not forsake wisdom, and she will keep you; love her, and she will guard you." Proverbs 4:6
"Will you continue in the Apostle's teachings...?" So begins the first promise of baptism. And we respond, "I will, with God's help."
It is easy to say, "I am a Christian." But it can be harder to say what that means, what we believe, and how we are called by God to live out our faith and our baptismal promises. Our hope for our formation and education, regardless of our age, is that it be connected to ways in which we live out our lives as Christians. That it encourages us to go deeper into our faith, our prayers, our witness and our presence in the world.
We offer a variety of programs for adult formation ranging from book studies, film studies, guided conversations, and other means of engaging and developing a mature life of faith.
Weekly Scripture Study
Wednesday - 10 am
We gather most every Wednesday morning in the parish hall for Scripture Study. On Wednesday, we utilize a method of Scripture Study known as Lectio Divina where we slowly read through the Sunday readings (typically the Gospel) and seek to allow God's Word to settle into and speak to our hearts.
