Join us on Wednesday, October 30, 2025, at 6 pm for our All Souls 2025 Service. This evening will be a sacred time of remembrance as we honor our family and friends who have passed away. This candlelight service offers a serene space for reflection, comfort, and hope through beloved hymns and thought-provoking readings.
During times of loss and grief, we come together as a community to support one another, remember those who have profoundly impacted our lives, and find comfort in the promise of God’s everlasting light. This service offers a reflective atmosphere where tears are welcomed, memories are cherished, and peace can start to grow in our hearts.
What to Expect at our All Souls 2025 Service
Candlelight Remembrance
During this service, we will light a candle on the altar in memory of their loved ones. This simple yet profound act creates a luminous testament to the lives that have shaped us and the love that continues to connect us across the veil of death.
Comforting Hymns
We will be accompanied by the instrumental beauty of cherished hymns, including “Abide With Me,” “The Lord, My God, My Shepherd Is,” “Nearer, My God, to Thee,” and “It Is Well with My Soul.” These timeless songs offer comfort and remind us that even in times of sorrow, we are not alone.
Scripture & Readings of Hope
During the service, we will hear passages from Isaiah and Wisdom, accompanied by inspirational writings from Maya Angelou, Marianne Williamson, Julian of Norwich, and Saint Teresa of Avila. These selected words address the universal human experience of loss, emphasizing the promise of healing, the emergence of light from darkness, and the peace that follows grief.
Remembrance of the Departed
We will read aloud the names of those who have passed away, submitted by individuals, to honor their memory and acknowledge the impact they had on our lives and community. This is a moment to hold space for both sorrow and gratitude.
Prayers of Intercession
Together, we will lift prayers for the church, the world, our community, and our loved ones—asking God to wipe away our tears, comfort those who mourn, and bring justice and peace to all creation.
Silence for Reflection
The service will include deliberate moments of silence, giving each person an opportunity to connect with their own grief, memories, and prayers in the presence of God and the community. The service will conclude with an invitation to continue praying for as long as needed.
